The Scream
The print is about the time I was bitten by a dog in the veterinary clinic where I work. I didn't want to pull my finger away, as I thought the dog would bite even harder, so I had to scream to make him let go. It is a print about risking my body in order to perform my job.
This is a two block woodcut which was laser cut from blocks which were first made in lino. It has been printed like a monoprint with lots of selective inking and hand burnishing, using a Kurosaki and a ball-bearing baren. This work is for sale. Price €950
