Landscape VII

Like the Landscape V, the basis for this print is a video taken with a phone at an artist's residency in Istria, Slovenia. The fraction of a second that captures the landscape is then translated into a woodcut, which requires weeks and weeks of work. The woodcut itself is printed with CMYK process colors - cyan, magenta, yellow, black. So, one hand-cut matrix for each colour. Yellow was printed first, then magenta, then cyan, and finally black. The final print from a distance gives the impression of a video-woodcut.
