CrackⅡ

The glass cup exists within the everyday scenery, occasionally showing interesting abstract patterns. There are times when my feelings resonate with those abstract patterns. I felt a drama as if red and white were being torn apart into two worlds within the glass.

Toshiko Hishida

Born in Tokyo in 1961. Studied printmaking at Joshibi University of Art and
Design (graduated in 1984) and Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School
(completed in 1986). In 1989, became a high school teacher and pursued both
art education and personal artistic practice. In 2016, took early retirement
from teaching and has since participated in solo exhibitions and numerous
international exchange exhibitions.
