Pamela Dodds
Pamela Dodds’ artwork in printmaking, painting and drawing explores human relationships and personal vulnerability. Her work is exhibited regularly in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and USA, and also in Spain, Norway, UK and Mexico. Solo exhibitions include at Open Studio Printmaking Centre, Toronto, Visual Arts Centre of Clarington, Ontario, Canada and William Busta Gallery, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
She has been employed as a master printer, mentor and educator, and as an invited speaker in university classrooms and conferences. Her work has received generous support from Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, and Gottlieb Foundation. Collectors include Boston Public Library, Massachusetts, Purdue University, Illinois, Capital One Bank, Ontario, Cleveland Museum of Art, Ohio.
Solo exhibitions of her current, ongoing, body of work entitled Documenting Border Barriers, include at Open Studio Printmaking Centre, Toronto, 2022, Border Walls and Borderlands International Colloquium, University of Quebec, Montreal, 2022, and Museo de Arte, Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, 2023, in partnership with Association for Borderlands Studies, Arizona, USA. A selection of the prints was chosen for the International Biennial of Contemporary Printmaking, Trois-Rivières, Quebec, 2023.
