Dirty Bathroom

This is an etching pressed from a single plate into archival Somerset satin paper.
The concept of this piece revolves around my larger narrative related to dystopic ideas and events prevalent in our current society. The girl, Janice, is a repeating character in my work and narrative. This imagery of her represents the purging or plunging if you will, of the messes society has left us. The mask she wears represents not only a form of protection for her, but also a symbol of the current state of affairs around the globe.
